What You Will Do:

  • You will be responsible for working with a variety of customers in the hospitality and other commercial businesses to identify and solve pest problems
  • Keep abreast of Ecolab's product/service offerings and industry conditions, to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions
  • Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues, and gas monitoring equipment to conduct readings during fumigations
  • Assist with the complete fumigation process, including but not limited to sealing, tarping, introduction of fumigant, conducting fume readings, and aerating/de-gassing facilities
  • Read, understand, follow labels, and MSDS forms for hazardous chemicals used during services provided
  • Inspect, maintain, and utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) properly
  • Follow proper safety protocols including OSHA mandated and customer specified guidelines
  • Use equipment involved in fumigation management services, including electronic devices for recording and reporting data

Position Details:

As an Industry leader, it is no surprise Ecolab offers a world class training program designed to provide the tools and resources for you to be one of the best in your field. During your training program, you will be required to travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Saint Paul, Minnesota for 1 of the 7 weeks. The remaining weeks will be in-field training. Ecolab will arrange and pay for your travel and certain travel-related expenses.

This position requires successful completion of the 7-week in-field and classroom training program to maintain employment. 2 of the weeks will be focusing on fumigation and the other 5 on pest elimination.

This is a field-based position and may require travel to the following cities and surrounding areas: Vancouver, WA

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of work or military experience
  • Position requires a current and valid Driver's License
  • Due to the nature and hours of work, must be 18 years of age or older
  • Willingness to be on-call during off work hours and weekends as necessary
  • Position requires the ability to work overnight shifts as needed
  • Anticipate 50% or more overnight travel for business during peak season
  • Position requires understanding and interpreting English labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazardous chemicals
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a TWIC card to access secure facilities
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a CDL with Hazmat endorsement

Physical Demands:

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

What You’ll Do
An individual in this role uses strong hands-on experience to execute and deliver assigned projects/products to ensure manufacturability, supporting technology transfer from design to manufacturing and ultimately scalability for commercialization for complex electromechanical capital equipment. This position will complete projects related to in-house manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and equipment planning/engineering in accordance the company’s Quality System and customer requirements.
  • Execute in-house and/or contract manufacturing activities and build relationships that ensure products are manufactured adhering to plans and quality/regulatory requirements.
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure inventory of raw materials and components are available per planned build schedule, lead and be accountable for material issued to production/projects.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI’s) and lot history records (LHR’s) in collaboration with R&D and Quality.
  • Develop manufacturing specifications for products; coordinate all process validation activities with Quality- IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Train/Certify MPI Trainer for manufacturing process instructions; may train other staff as needed. Plan equipment and workflow layouts in manufacturing areas.  Manage manufacturing equipment design and development to ensure that equipment is cost effective and meets manufacturing specifications and maintain and coordinate all calibration and preventive maintenance activities in conformance with the Company’s Quality System requirements.

What You’ll Bring:
  • BS in Engineering or related discipline and 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the medical device or related regulated industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pilot/production line set up and validation in controlled environment, including work under quality systems designed to meet governmental regulations such as FDA QSR, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and the MDD.
  • Experience with surgical robotics or other complex electromechanical capital equipment is highly desired
  • Familiar with GMP, GDP procedures and requirements
