Job Summary

The Vice President, Care Delivery is responsible for the operational execution and performance of Sharecare’s clinical programs, including coaching, care management, clinical advocacy, and related population health services. This leader ensures that Sharecare’s clinical programs are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in a way that produces measurable clinical, utilization, and financial outcomes for clients.

This role connects strategy to execution by translating client contracts, program designs, and clinical strategies into operational workflows, staffing models, performance expectations, and measurable results. The VP, Care Delivery is accountable for operational performance, workforce productivity, program scalability, and delivery against client and organizational performance goals.

This leader will also play a critical role in building a strong leadership culture, improving colleague engagement, reducing attrition, and establishing clear accountability across clinical operations teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Execution and Performance

  • Lead the operational delivery of clinical programs including coaching, care management, clinical advocacy, and related services.
  • Ensure programs are delivered in alignment with client contracts, performance guarantees, and outcome expectations.
  • Translate program designs and client commitments into operational workflows, staffing models, productivity standards, and performance targets.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics including engagement, productivity, clinical outcomes, utilization, client KPIs, revenue, and margin.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement operational improvement plans.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization across clinical operations to support scalability and performance.
  • Oversee implementation and operational readiness for new clients and program expansions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, workflow optimization, automation, and scalability.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Manage operations to meet or exceed revenue, margin, productivity, and performance targets.
  • Partner with Finance to manage budgets, staffing models, and labor efficiency.
  • Establish workforce productivity standards, caseload models, and performance management processes.
  • Monitor operational performance against operating plans and adjust strategy as needed.
  • Ensure operational decisions support both clinical outcomes and financial performance.

Leadership, Engagement, and Culture

  • Lead and develop a team of operational and clinical leaders responsible for program delivery.
  • Build a positive, engaged, accountable culture across clinical operations.
  • Address attrition through leadership development, onboarding improvements, career pathways, and manager coaching.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability structures across teams.
  • Promote colleague engagement through mentorship, leadership development, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Create an environment where leaders both support their teams and hold them accountable for performance and outcomes.

Client & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Sales, Client Success, Clinical Leadership, Analytics, Product, Technology, and Finance to ensure successful program delivery and client performance.
  • Support client relationships as an operational leader and ensure delivery aligns with client expectations and performance commitments.
  • Participate in client performance reviews and operational performance discussions.
  • Ensure performance and outcomes reporting is delivered accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical operations, population health, care management, or healthcare services operations.
  • Experience leading large, distributed clinical or operational teams.
  • Nursing or other clinical degree required.
  • Experience managing operational performance, productivity, and financial performance.
  • Experience in value-based care, population health, care management, or health services delivery preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operational execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong people leadership experience with a track record of improving engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Experience scaling teams, workflows, and operational infrastructure across multiple programs or clients.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and operating performance.

Primary Responsibilities

This role prepares and reviews the accuracy of labels, assists in packaging of doses, and accounts for all dosage units entering and leaving the Clinic per FDA regulations and guidelines and per study protocol requirements. The specialist assures proper protocol and regulatory procedures are followed in the receipt and handling of drug by team members and other staff responsible for dosing.
  • Quality Assurance: The Pharmacy Specialist assists in assuring that study drug product prepared and/or checked by pharmacy technical staff is of the highest quality standards to ensure the safety of the study participants and integrity of the study. This includes assisting with the completion of all required in-house sterile technique skills tests for all staff.
  • Training & Development: The Pharmacy Specialist assists in the continued evaluation of a training program for Clinic staff that interacts with the pharmacy, to assure compliance with pharmacy procedures.
  • Sponsor Relations & Study Close-Out: The Pharmacy Specialist interacts with sponsors and clients in regard to potential and on-going studies, explaining K2 Med procedures and responding to sponsor/client requests regarding handling of drug, close-out issues, and other operational matters. This role assures close-out of studies are handled properly, including ensuring drug is returned to sponsor, stored correctly, or otherwise managed depending on protocol and sponsor requirements.
  • Additional Duties: The Pharmacy Specialist performs other duties as assigned to support the expanding needs of both Phase 1 and outpatient pharmacy operations.

Experience requires working independently providing a broad range of general and advanced procedures. Background Investigation Requirement


This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment. A background investigation is a standard process used by the Federal Government to verify an individual's identity, employment history, education, and other relevant information to determine suitability for Federal service. Basic Requirements



  • Education: Applicants must have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

  • Licensure: Applicants must have passed the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE) and possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

  • Medical Requirements: Applicants must be able to distinguish shades of color.

  • Experience: In addition to meeting the above education and licensure requirements, applicants must have two or more full years of professional experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing professional dentistry work for GS‑12 level and above assignments.


Qualifying experience involves the evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, injuries, and disorders of the oral cavity and maxillofacial area. Examples of dentistry experience may include the removal of decay; filling cavities; straightening, extracting, and repairing teeth; treating gum diseases; performing corrective surgery; making measurements/models for dentures to replace missing teeth; administering anesthetics; writing prescriptions; and performing other requirements of the position.


Additional Requirements for the GS‑12 (or Equivalent) Grade Level


In addition to the above Basic Requirements, applicants must complete a 2‑year residency program in dentistry, oral health, craniofacial sciences, or a related medical science; or equivalent experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, and/or training.

Additional selection(s) of candidates may be possible within 240 days from the date the certificate of eligibles was issued for this announcement. Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. IHS may offer newly‑appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non‑federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Promotes long and short-range planning to respond and integrate within the market, Region, and systems.

Clinical Pharmacist Functions

  • Demonstrates ability to document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings and other patient specific information as defined by policy and procedure.
  • Interprets medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions, appropriate drug selection and appropriateness. Accurately enters the order or prescription into the computer system, labels, and dispenses medications in a timely manner.
  • Verifies and checks medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
  • Communicates drug information to patients and health professionals. Resolves drug related problems by consulting with other health care professionals to achieve appropriate patient outcomes. Unclear orders written by a licensed provider are clarified with the licensed provider. Assists the licensed provider in appropriate drug selection and therapeutic regimens.
  • Achieves and maintains an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served. Provides basic clinical services as required by policy and procedure.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of automated systems.
  • Responsible for technician activities, performance, provides direction and guidance as needed.
  • Participates in the orientation, instruction and training of pharmacy students and interns, pharmacy technicians, residents, pharmacists and other health professionals.
  • Performs duties in documented accordance with requirements of all regulatory and governing bodies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Residency completion or three (3) years of clinical experience.
  • Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing.
