  • Immediately and respectfully responds to guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaints.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations required
  • Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience required. Experience running shifts without supervision
  • Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
  • Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Website & Ecommerce Manager to lead the growth, performance and daily operations of our Shopify store. You will own the online customer experience from end to end: website updates and merchandising, email marketing, promotions, search visibility, analytics and ongoing improvement. Experience in the fishing industry, or a strong personal interest in fishing, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities1. Website & Product Pages

  • Manage day-to-day updates to the Shopify storefront, including homepage banners, navigation, collections, featured products and promotional sections.
  • Build and launch new product pages (copy, images, specs, tags and collection placement), working with the creative team on assets.
  • Keep existing product pages accurate as colors, sizes and packaging change.

  • Own the online store’s promotional calendar, including seasonal sales, bundles and limited-time offers.
  • Set up discounts, landing pages and on-site merchandising for each promotion.

4. Search Visibility (SEO & AI Search)

  • Optimize product and category pages for search, including titles, descriptions, image alt text and structured data.
  • Research the species, techniques and product terms our anglers search for.
  • Write product and category content that answers the questions anglers actually ask, so our pages show up in search engines and AI answer tools such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
  • Track organic traffic and rankings, and act on what you find.

5. Integrations, Apps & Technical Operations

  • Manage Shopify apps and integrations (Klaviyo, Yotpo, GA4, review and loyalty apps, etc.), and review them regularly for cost, overlap and impact on site speed.
  • Maintain the Google Merchant Center product feed so product data is accurate across Google Shopping.
  • Make sure tracking pixels, tags and analytics are set up and working correctly.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, and bring in developers or Shopify experts when needed.

6. Reviews, Customer Experience & Reporting

  • Manage product review collection and moderation, and feature reviews and customer photos on product pages and in email.
  • Work with customer service to spot common customer questions and improve product pages and FAQs.
  • Report monthly on sales, conversion rate, average order value, traffic sources and email performance.
  • Share what is working and what is not, and recommend next steps.

What Success Looks Like

  • First 90 days: learn our products and customers, audit the site, apps, email flows and analytics setup, and share a prioritized improvement plan.
  • Product launches and promotions go live on time, with accurate pages and supporting emails.
  • Steady improvement in conversion rate, email revenue and organic traffic over time.

QualificationsRequired

  • 2–5 years of experience running or supporting an ecommerce store, ideally on Shopify.
  • Hands-on experience building campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo or a similar email platform.
  • Working knowledge of ecommerce SEO, and strong writing skills for product copy that sells and ranks.
