Associate General Counsel
Agora Finance
new york, ny
Compensation: 250.000 - 300.000

ABOUT AGORA

At Agora, our mission is to transform how money moves. We believe stablecoins will underpin a new financial fabric, one that is faster, more global, and more efficient than today's siloed systems. That is why we are building AUSD and the Agora stack, a full service platform that makes issuing, managing, and integrating stablecoins seamless, whether you're a developer, fintech, or institution. With AUSD, stablecoins become programmable, composable, and ubiquitous by default.

We believe digital dollars should be a public good: trusted, accessible, and built for real-world utility. Our mission is to drive adoption through customizable, user-friendly on-ramps that make stable, dollar-based value available onchain.

We're backed by world-class investors including Paradigm and Dragonfly, and we're growing a team to reimagine how value moves online.

We're intentional about who we bring on. If you're passionate about stablecoins and want to help create more open, intuitive ways for people to engage with money, let's talk.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Agora Legal team is a strategic partner across the company, touching every aspect of the business. As the company and its regulatory footprint scale, we are hiring our first dedicated lawyer to work directly alongside the General Counsel.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of Associate General Counsel is a rare chance to join a company early and help build its legal function from the ground up. You will work directly with, and report to, the General Counsel as the first dedicated member of the legal team. There is no established playbook to inherit so you will help write it.

We are looking for a broad, versatile lawyer who is energized by variety. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role. The ideal person has a generalist’s range, a builder’s instinct, and the judgment to know when to decide, when to elevate, and when to bring in outside help. If you want to touch nearly everything a fast-growing company throws at its legal team, this is the opportunity for you to grow with the company and gain valuable experience.

What you’ll do

  • Trusted Advisor. Advise the General Counsel and executive leadership on diverse legal matters.
  • Own commercial and technology contracts. Draft, review, and negotiate the full range of agreements the business runs on, including vendor and technology agreements, partnerships, customer and platform terms, NDAs, and services arrangements — balancing risk against the need to move quickly.
  • Advise the business on the digital-asset regulatory landscape. Serve as a practical, business-minded advisor on how the evolving regulatory environment as they apply to our products and plans, partnering with compliance and outside counsel on the questions that need specialist depth.
  • Support corporate, governance, and financing work. Help with entity management, board materials, corporate housekeeping, and financing and equity matters as the company grows.
  • Partner on compliance, risk, and disputes. Work alongside compliance on policies and controls, help manage inquiries, disputes, and any litigation, and direct outside counsel efficiently when specialized expertise is required.
  • Build the legal function. Work with the General Counsel to create the templates, playbooks, intake, and processes that let a small team scale.
  • Take on whatever comes in. As an early legal hire, you’ll be the first call on a wide range of questions — employment, privacy, IP, marketing, and the issues no one anticipated. Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to dig into unfamiliar areas are essential.

What we’re looking for

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing (New York admission or eligibility to register as in-house counsel in New York preferred).
  • Approximately 8–12 years of legal experience, ideally combining a strong law-firm foundation with in-house experience.
  • Genuine breadth with a track record across commercial contracting, regulatory/product counseling, corporate/governance, and compliance with a willingness to learn and expand.
  • Exposure to digital assets, crypto, banking or another regulated financial-services or fintech environment.
  • Experience working across different functions and building trust with stakeholders.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to give clear, actionable advice to non-lawyers.
  • Sound, risk-adjusted judgment, analytical rigor paired with pragmatism about what actually moves the business forward.
  • High autonomy and low ego. Comfortable being resourceful, owning work end-to-end, and building process where none exists.

Nice to have

  • In-house experience, particularly at an early-stage or high-growth company.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory frameworks relevant to digital assets, stablecoins, money movement, or bank/financial-services activities. U.S. bank regulatory background is a plus.
  • Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets.
  • Experience selecting or implementing legal tooling and repeatable, self-serve processes.

For New York Metro the expected salary range for this position is between $250,000 and $300,000. This position is also eligible for annual bonus opportunities and an option grant. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Agora operates a centralized USD-pegged stablecoin platform with robust compliance, security, and governance. We are equally committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.

We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion or creed, mental or physical disability, medical condition, genetic information, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related conditions), gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, military or veteran status, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.

Treasury Director, Investments & Liquidity Remote-Friendly (Travel Required) | San Francisco, CA
Anthropic Limited
san francisco, ca
Compensation: 230.000 - 300.000

Treasury Director, Investments & Liquidity

Remote-Friendly (Travel Required) | San Francisco, CA

About Anthropic

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Director, Investments & Liquidity to join our Treasury team. This is a foundational role on a quickly growing Treasury team. As we experience exponential growth, you will be instrumental in ensuring optimal capital allocation, protecting our financial assets, and establishing the policies and infrastructure needed to support our expanding global operations.

The work spans strategy and execution: owning the capital planning framework and investment policy, standing up in-house trading infrastructure, and overseeing external managers. Reporting to the Head of Investments & Markets, you will partner closely with teams across Finance, Legal, and Accounting to achieve these objectives.

You will build AI-native investment workflows: apply AI tools to portfolio analytics, manager and counterparty monitoring, IPS compliance, interest income forecasting, and executive reporting, partnering with Finance, Engineering, Data, and FinSys, with controls, documentation, and auditability built in.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and optimize Anthropic's external investment program, including money market funds, bank deposits, and separately managed accounts
  • Monitor external manager performance and maintain a manager bench with clear performance reporting
  • Design and build an in-house investment program, including direct fixed income trading capability, trade infrastructure, and custodian connectivity
  • Develop and operationalize a capital planning framework across operating and strategic liquidity tiers
  • Design and maintain the investment policy statement, Treasury policies, and SOX-ready investment controls
  • Build CFO-ready management reporting covering portfolio performance, policy compliance, and risk exposures
  • Deep expertise in corporate cash investment strategy, developed in Treasury, corporate finance, or fixed income portfolio management
  • Experience with an in-house investment program, including direct fixed income trading
  • Hands-on experience with SMAs, investment policy design, capital allocation frameworks, and external manager oversight
  • Experience developing and implementing Treasury policies and SOX-ready controls
  • Demonstrated operational readiness at scale, with comfort being personally accountable for large, time-sensitive cash movements

  • Experience in a high-growth technology environment
  • Experience standing up in-house trading capability and trade infrastructure, including order management systems and custodian connectivity
  • Familiarity with integrating cash forecasting into investment laddering
  • FX/derivative trading experience to act as back up trader for risk team

The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.

For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

$230,000 - $300,000 USD

Logistics

Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience

Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience

Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position

Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.

How we're different

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. About The Role

Oscar is seeking a Senior Director, Marketplace Growth and Partnerships to build and lead a new partnerships capability supporting Lucie's marketplace growth. This leader will define how external partners expand consumer value, engagement, and monetization across the Lucie ecosystem. The role will start as a senior, hands‑on leadership seat with room to scale into a broader partnership function as the marketplace matures.

You will report into the Vice President - Corporate Strategy.

Work Location

This position is based in our New York, NY office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in‑office work per week. Thursdays are a required in‑office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Define the partnership strategy for Lucie Marketplace, including the role external partners should play in expanding consumer value, engagement, and monetization.

  • Build a prioritized partner ecosystem across lifestyle, condition management, wellness, navigation, consumer health, and adjacent categories.

  • Identify where partnerships can accelerate Lucie's marketplace strategy faster or more effectively than internal build.

  • Develop the commercial strategy for Lucie partnerships, including monetization models, value‑sharing structures, and partner economics.

  • Partner with Lucie leadership, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Data, and Operations to turn partnership strategy into scalable marketplace capabilities.

  • Establish the operating model for partner evaluation, launch readiness, relationship management, performance measurement, and value capture.

  • Own senior‑level partner relationships and represent Lucie's marketplace vision externally.

  • Build the foundation for a partnerships function that can scale over time as Lucie's marketplace matures.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, corporate strategy, product strategy, commercial strategy, or a related leadership function.

  • 8+ years of experience developing and executing partnership strategies, partner programs, or ecosystem initiatives that supported business growth or strategic objectives.

  • 8+ years of experience structuring, negotiating, or managing strategic commercial partnerships, including business models, revenue models, or enterprise partnership agreements.

  • 8+ years of experience building and managing executive‑level relationships with external partners, customers, vendors, or strategic stakeholders.

  • 8+ years of experience leading cross‑functional initiatives in partnership with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Data, and Operations teams.

  • 5+ years of experience building or scaling new business functions, operating models, governance frameworks, or strategic programs within a high‑growth or evolving organization.

  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high‑performing teams, including managing senior individual contributors and/or people leaders.

Bonus Points

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer marketplaces, digital platforms, healthcare, insurance, or technology organizations.

  • Experience evaluating partnership performance using financial, operational, customer engagement, or revenue metrics to inform strategic decisions.

  • MBA or other advanced degree in Business, Strategy, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience working in a high‑growth, startup, or rapidly scaling organization.
