What Your Day Looks Like: Our Infectious Disease Clinic is a close-knit team consisting of one board-certified Infectious Disease Physician and one Clinic Manager. In this role,you'llwork alongside our physician to provide specialized care for patients with a variety of infectious diseases and conditions. Clinic hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. While the clinic is closed to patients on Wednesdays,you'llcontinue to support patient care through phone triage, case management, and follow-up activities as needed.

In This Role, You'll Make a Direct Impact By:

Starting your day at 8:00 a.m. by reviewing priorities, preparing patient charts, completing documentation reviews, and following up on outstanding tasks.

Supporting the physician from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. by rooming patients, completing assessments and intake documentation, providing clinical updates, andassistingwith procedures.

Handling administrative and case management responsibilities usingtimelycommunication with patients and healthcare providers from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

As an Infectious Disease Nurse, You Will:

Provide comprehensive case management, care coordination, prior authorization support, and support other clinic operations and administrative functions.

Manage rabies vaccine treatment schedules,monitorpatient adherence to treatment regimens, provide patient education, and respond to patient needs through telephone triage.

Administer vaccines, remove PICC lines, perform wound care, and complete dressing changes.

Serve as a key resource for patients, helping them navigate complex treatment plans and achieveoptimalhealth outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education:Completion of an accredited program (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse). Wound Care Certification is highly preferred.

Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in the clinic setting (strongly preferred) or 4 hours of job shadowing in our clinic (required).

Skills:Communication, confidence, empathy, professionalism, critical thinking, patient assessment, self-discipline, integrity, and willingness to learn.

Licensure/Certification:Active Missouri License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

Implementation

1. Communicates, coordinates, and implements the plan of care.

2. Provides ongoing communication with patient / family, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patient's status, rendered care and treatment plans.

3. Implements age and disease specific care in an organized and timely manner.

4. Provides or coordinates the patient / family education as needed and ensures understanding.

5. Performs according to established protocols in clinical situations, including communicating with appropriate persons and documenting events.

6. Provides nursing care and treatments that reflect the patients' needs, advocates appropriately and demonstrates evidence-based nursing practice and compliance with standards.

7. Performs continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of each individual patient's assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation of rendered care.

8. Medication administration utilizing the newest advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies designed to ensure the safest delivery of medications to our patients.

9. Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.

Child Welfare Specialist, Level I

Child Welfare Specialist, Level III

Job Duties

This position job responsibilities may be in one or more of the following, within Child Welfare Programs.

Child Protective Services (CPS)

  • Investigates allegations of child abuse or neglect.
  • Protects the safety of children and provides services to help families with any barriers that can result in the safety of their children to be at risk.

Family Centered Services (FCS)

  • Preserves and strengthen protective capacities of the parents to keep the child in their own home with a focus on increasing safety for the child and family to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placements.

Permanency Planning (PP)

  • Provides services to families that include involving family members as participants in their own treatment plan.
  • Provides placements for children which will meet their medical, educational, and physical needs.
  • Returns children to their own homes as soon as their needs can be met in the home of their parent(s), and arranges a permanent plan when return to the home is not possible.

All New Employees will complete the Child Welfare Core Academy Training Program

  • Learn treatment and preventive services;
  • Visit children in placement and conduct assessments of children and families;
  • Refer families and children to services in the community;
  • Participate in investigations of abuse and neglect of children, and prepare case reports and other documentation;
  • Attends court hearings and provides testimony;
  • Consults with the District Attorney and other attorneys, and tribal partners regarding efforts to protect the child, reunite the family or other permanent plans for the child;
  • Provides direct services to children in placement,
  • And other duties as assigned.

Travel is EXTENSIVE - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance. State vehicles will be available for use to carry out the duties of the position.
