Our culture encourages creativity, welcomes fresh thinking, and focuses on growth, so our people, our business, and our customers can achieve their full potential.

Role Purpose:

The Foundational Services Chief Security Officer will lead security across Siemens Foundational Services and the One Software Engineering System (OSES), ensuring that security is embedded into the shared platforms, services, and engineering capabilities used to build Siemens software.

Foundational Services provides horizontal capabilities, including identity, licensing, data, AI, and developer experience, that are consumed by software businesses across Siemens. Key Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end security strategy for Foundational Services, covering architecture, product security, cloud security, data protection, AI security, software supply chain risk management (component provenance, build integrity, and SBOM), third-party and supplier risk, vulnerability management, security resilience engineering, and incident response strategy.

Lead the creation of a secure software factory where security requirements are increasingly fulfilled through automated controls, policy as code, reusable services, secure templates, and approved engineering patterns.

Reduce developer effort required to meet security and other non-functional requirements, making the secure path the easiest and fastest option for Siemens engineering teams.

Define the trust and authorization model for AI-native software development, including least-privilege access, blast-radius-contained authority for coding assistants and autonomous agents, verifiable machine identity, and validation of AI-generated code.

Partner across Siemens cybersecurity, IT, legal, privacy, product security, and business unit organizations through clear interfaces and shared operating models, harmonizing security practices while addressing legitimate product, regulatory, and deployment differences.

Build a community of security architects, engineers, and champions across Foundational Services, OSES, and Siemens businesses.

Build, lead, and grow the security engineering team for OSES and Foundational Services by recruiting, developing, and retaining talent responsible for securing the developer enablement platform used across Siemens.

Establish measurable security and developer experience outcomes, including risk reduction, control automation, continuous control validation, vulnerability remediation, platform adoption, and security that scales through platform and automation leverage, with a deliberate focus on compounding efficiency as OSES expands.

General Manager - Filta San Francisco Bay Area - In Person
24 Cks LLC
berkeley, ca
Compensation: 105.000 - 150.000

About us

Filta Bay Area is a growing commercial kitchen services business serving customers across the northern San Francisco Bay Area. We provide recurring and project-based services that help commercial kitchens operate more safely, efficiently, and sustainably, working with customers ranging from restaurants and schools to hospitals, corporate campuses, and large institutions. Today, the business generates approximately $2 million in annual revenue and has a team spanning field operations, sales, and administration. We are part of the broader Filta franchise network while operating as an independently owned local business.

About the Role

We are looking for a General Manager to lead the business through its next stage of growth and organizational development.

The GM will be responsible for the overall performance of the business and for building the people, systems, and management discipline required for the company to operate and grow without depending on the owner for day-to-day direction.

We are not looking for someone who already has every answer or has spent their entire career in our industry. We are looking for someone with strong business judgment, high ownership, exceptional learning ability, and the ability to turn unclear problems into action.

The GM will lead across Operations, Sales, and Administration while working closely with the owner on overall strategy and major business decisions.

What You'll Own

1. Business Performance

Own the overall health and performance of the business.

  • Revenue growth and profitability
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Operational performance, productivity, and service quality
  • Customer retention and satisfaction
  • Execution against annual and quarterly priorities

Understand what's driving results, identify where the business is off track, and ensure the organization responds.

2. Management Team & Accountability

Lead and develop the managers responsible for Operations, Sales, and other key functions.

  • Establish clear ownership, expectations, and performance standards
  • Hold managers accountable for outcomes
  • Coach managers to become stronger leaders and problem solvers
  • Resolve cross-functional issues
  • Address performance problems directly
  • Make difficult people decisions when necessary

You do not need to know more about every function than the people managing it. You do need to ask good questions, exercise sound judgment, and ensure the organization delivers.

3. Systems & Organizational Capability

Build the management infrastructure that allows the company to scale.

  • Establish useful KPIs, scorecards, and management rhythms
  • Improve processes and clarify ownership
  • Identify recurring problems and address their root causes
  • Build stronger planning and decision-making systems
  • Improve how information flows through the organization
  • Reduce unnecessary dependence on individual people, including the owner

The goal isn't simply to solve today's problems. It's to continuously make the organization better at solving problems.

4. Sustainable Growth

Ensure that growth is commercially attractive, operationally achievable, and financially sound.

  • Hold Sales accountable for pipeline and revenue performance
  • Ensure effective handoffs between Sales and Operations
  • Support retention and expansion of existing customers
  • Evaluate new customers, services, and growth opportunities
  • Ensure staffing and operational capacity keep pace with growth

The GM does not need to be the company's best salesperson or operations expert. The GM is responsible for making sure the functions work together to produce sustainable results.

How You Operate

You create clarity from ambiguity. Important problems rarely arrive neatly defined. You can take a vague problem or desired outcome, determine what actually needs to be solved, find the information and people you need, make reasonable assumptions, and carry the issue forward without waiting for someone else to give you a roadmap.

You take ownership. When something important falls into a gray area, your instinct is to figure out how to move it forward. You distinguish between what truly requires escalation and what you can resolve yourself.

You learn fast. You don't need to already know everything. You get smart on unfamiliar subjects quickly, seek out information independently, ask good questions, and update your thinking as you learn.

You think in systems. You don't want to solve the same problem repeatedly. You look underneath individual incidents for problems in process, incentives, information, capability, or accountability.

You adapt. Technology, AI, customer expectations, and ways of working are changing quickly. You actively explore what's changing, distinguish useful developments from hype, experiment thoughtfully, and help the organization adopt better ways of working.

You exercise judgment and act. You are comfortable making decisions without perfect information. You know when more analysis is valuable and when it's time to make a reasonable decision, act, learn, and adjust.

You lead directly. You support and develop people while maintaining high standards. You're comfortable challenging assumptions, giving candid feedback, and having difficult conversations when necessary.

What We're Looking For

There is no single career path required for this role.

Relevant backgrounds could include general management, operations leadership, business operations, business-unit leadership, entrepreneurship, or other roles involving meaningful responsibility for people and business outcomes.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated:

  • Increasing responsibility and scope over time
  • Meaningful ownership of business outcomes
  • Leadership of people and teams
  • Strong analytical and business judgment
  • Experience building or improving systems, rather than only operating within established ones
  • The ability to identify and implement technology, including AI and automation, to improve efficiency, decision-making, and business performance
  • The ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial environment

Experience in a service business or operationally complex environment is helpful but not required.

Direct P&L experience is preferred but not required for an exceptional candidate.

Industry experience is not required.

What Success Looks Like

Over the first 12–18 months:

  • The business performs against clear financial, operational, customer, and growth goals.
  • Managers clearly understand what they own and are accountable for results.
  • Important problems move forward without routinely waiting for owner direction.
  • Recurring problems increasingly lead to systemic improvements rather than repeated firefighting.
  • The company has useful KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and management rhythms.
  • Operations and Sales work effectively together.
  • The management team becomes stronger and increasingly self-sufficient.
  • The company continuously adopts better tools and ways of working where they create meaningful value.
  • The owner is increasingly focused on strategy and major decisions rather than day-to-day management.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $105,000–$125,000, depending on experience and demonstrated capabilities
  • Target Performance Bonus: 20%+ of base salary, with additional upside for exceptional performance
  • Target Total Cash Compensation: Approximately $126,000–$150,000+

The performance bonus will be tied to overall business performance and key leadership objectives.

This role offers significant opportunity for growth in both responsibility and compensation as the GM demonstrates the ability to independently lead and grow the business.

Benefits

  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • Health insurance, dental and vision
  • 401(k) with company matching
