Compensation

  • Forecasting & Decision Support : Build and maintain forecasting engines for revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and cost structures; partner with Finance and Operations to align models with planning cycles; provide recommendations for market entry, pricing changes, and capital allocation.
  • Business Intelligence Leadership : Oversee BI infrastructure and centralized reporting; consolidate and streamline a disparate BI network; ensure consistent metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks; maintain data governance and accessibility standards.
  • Team Leadership & Influence : Mentor and develop analysts; partner with Finance, Product, Marketing, and Operations to embed insights in decision‑making; translate complex analyses into clear, actionable strategies for executives and the board.

Emerge is looking to fill a General Manager position to oversee all 3 FLCR stands within Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is an in-person position.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational excellence, and financial performance of three retail stands within Strong Memorial Hospital. The General Manager will work closely with the Regional Manager, Operations Manager, and multiple Stand Managers to ensure all aspects of Strong Memorial operations are running smoothly.

To be successful in this role you should have management experience in the hospitality industry, preferably with coffee shops and cafes or restaurants. In addition, you should be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership
    • Oversee daily operations across three café locations, ensuring consistency in customer service, product quality, and cleanliness.
    • Create and enforce operational policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Staff Management
    • Hire, train, coach, and develop store managers, supervisors and frontline staff.
    • Oversee scheduling, ensuring managers work with staff to maintain shift coverage and appropriate staffing levels.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage P&L for all retail locations including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
    • Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, manage labor costs and control expenses.
    • Support marketing initiatives, promotions and seasonal campaigns from corporate offices or other retail locations.

    • Ensure staff compliance with onboarding requirements, ongoing training and Strong Memorial requirements.
    • Maintain standards for food safety, cleanliness and employee safety procedures.
    • Coordinate and market with Friends of Strong, hospital representatives, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service
    • Maintain customer experience through operational excellence and ensuring a welcoming, customer‑focused environment at every location.
    • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Implement service standards and training programs to strengthen brand consistency.

Requirements And Skills

  • High school diploma.
  • Additional certification is a plus (for example: Serv Safe, Hospitality).
  • 3‑5 years of management experience in food service, coffee or hospitality required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple locations and a large, diverse team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration, leadership and mentorship.
