The salary range for this role is $226,000 to $366,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. Practice Overview

Paid Sick Leave

Pediatrix provides paid sick leave to team members in Washinton under Initiative 1433. Team members who do not accrue PTO are eligible to receive Washington Paid Sick and Safe Leave “PSSL” time in a lump sum. Per Diem team members will accrue one hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked. Team members begin to accrue sick leave upon hire. However, they cannot use accrued sick leave until their 90th day of employment. There is no annual cap on accrual; however, team members will be able to carry over up to 108 hours of unused paid sick leave the following year.

NOTE

The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.

The Opportunity:

The FHP Internal Medicine & Senior Care Clinic is built upon a physician-led team providing comprehensive adult primary care, from preventive medicine to the management of chronic and complex conditions. Our team cares for a rewarding and diverse patient population including seniors with multiple medical needs and is we remain deeply committed to preserving Medicare and Medicaid access in Interior Alaska. As an Internal Medicine physician, you’ll focus your expertise where it is needed most by consulting on and managing complex and multisystem conditions while partnering with APPs who support routine check-ins, follow-up visits and acute care needs. Position Purpose:

The purpose of this Area Medical Director position is to provide leadership, mentorship, and management to Petco owned full-service hospitals and its partners within the assigned area. Education/Experience

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or its equivalent
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the states in which the assigned hospitals are located or ability to obtain by start date
  • Current DEA license
  • Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in states in which the assigned hospitals are located or ability to obtain by start date
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • At least 4 years of clinical practice experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical operations including but not limited to assurance of medical quality, setting protocols to ensure compliance with Petco SOPs and the state veterinary practice act, driving regular team educational enhancement opportunities, advising and leading medical case discussions as necessary, and knowledge of equipment and formulary medical use and needs
  • General understanding of business financials
  • Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolutions skills
  • Ability to travel frequently between regional hospital locations with the potential of up to 20% of overnight travel

Preferences:

  • Previous medical leadership experience preferably in a multi-unit setting.
