Radiology - Interventional Physician

West Virginia University/Charleston Area Medical Center is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained interventional radiologist to join two experienced interventional radiologists in our growing practice in the state's premier health care institution. This position is 100% interventional radiology with no diagnostic radiology responsibilities and will offer protected academic time. CAMC includes a cancer center, a level 1 trauma center, and a women and children's hospital. Work is predominantly at CAMC Memorial Hospital, where there is a state-of-the-art Siemens angio-CT room, to support a full practice including percutaneous ablation, chemoembolization, radioembolization, portal hypertension intervention, and complex drainage and a dedicated IR suite with a new GE interventional CT, an US procedure room.

Interventional radiology is part of the division of vascular surgery, within the department of surgery. It is a fully clinical practice, with a dedicated clinic, advanced practitioner, and first call coverage by residents and fellows. Vascular surgery is a multidisciplinary group containing vascular surgeons, interventional medicine physicians, interventional radiologists and cardiologists, who participate in a collaborative, academic environment. IR physicians participate in call to cover complex drainage bleeding from trauma, gastrointestinal hemorrhage and portal hypertension.

The ideal candidate is radiology board-certified, CAQ eligible and interested in serving a population with high levels of vascular disease, cancer, and portal hypertension. The candidate would enjoy working collaboratively with surgical colleagues and be interested in participating in tumor board and training of fellows and residents. Job requirements by the time of appointment are:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree from an accredited residency and completion of an accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship training program
  • Board certification / eligibility by the American Board of Radiology in Interventional Radiology
  • Possess aptitude and passion for educating residents and medical students
  • Willingness to participate in appropriate academic, clinical research or other scholarly activity as may be required of clinical faculty
  • A collegial spirit and a desire to facilitate the development of interdisciplinary care models

Seeking a BE/BC general ophthalmologist to join our Division of Ophthalmology. We are seeking a board certified or eligible general ophthalmologist with excellent surgical and clinical skills. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in resident teaching and collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects. Research interests are welcomed and supported, though not a requirement for this position.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service with 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 8 optometrists. We are a teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine, and a part of the residency teaching program of Tufts Medical Center. Our MDs qualify for academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine. Our division also has longstanding teaching and service relationships with ophthalmology programs in Egypt, Turkey, and El Salvador.

The Facility:

The Ophthalmology division has four modern and fully equipped offices (Burlington, Peabody, Arlington, Lynnfield, MA) and a state-of-the-art surgical facility in the Peabody hospital. Our operating rooms are equipped with LenSx, Centurion phacoemulsification machines, Zeiss Lumera microscopes, ORA system, ECP, and MicroPulse laser unit. In our clinics, we have lasers (Argon, SLT, Nd:YAG) and updated, new diagnostic testing OCTs, Optos, Visual fields, ERGs. We offer anterior segment OCT imaging and dry eye management and treatment technologies, LipiScan, LipiView and IPL.

    Responsibilities

    • Telemetry Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers to define, scope, and validate telemetry requirements to ensure the right data is being captured for quality signals.
    • Dashboard Design: Design and maintain clear, role‑specific dashboards that reflect test results, coverage trends, performance metrics, and release health.
    • Written Reports: Produce structured reports and summaries that combine narrative, visuals, and metrics to tell a complete story about product quality, test outcomes, and production health.
    • Root Cause Investigation: Assist QA and dev teams with root cause investigations using log data, traces, metrics, and real‑world usage patterns.

    Skills

    • Strong hands‑on experience with data analysis (SQL, Python, R, or similar).
    • Skilled in producing clear visualizations (Superset, Plotly, Tableau, Looker, Grafana, Power BI).
    • Able to write concise reports with actionable insights – weekly summaries, defect overviews, quality scorecards, etc.
    • Familiar with log analysis tools (Sumologic, Splunk, Datadog, Kibana, ElasticSearch).
    • Comfortable discussing and designing instrumentation/logging with engineers.
    • Familiarity with QA concepts, release validation, and production monitoring.
    • Strong communication skills; can adapt output to technical and non‑technical audiences.

    • Experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, or event‑driven logs.
    • Experience in continuous delivery environments with real‑time observability needs.
    • Prior involvement in incident reviews or quality post‑mortems.

    Education

    • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
    • Practical experience in QA, data analysis, SRE, or systems engineering roles is also welcome.
