As a home care hospice physician, you will use your compassion, communication skills, and deep expertise to build meaningful relationships with patients and families, providing the highest-quality care at the most challenging point in life. You will see the person behind each prognosis and create care plans centered around the patient's wishes, needs, and beliefs, often working in concert with the patient's primary care physician.

Manage approximately 45-60 patients in their home settings via an interdisciplinary team approach. Make visits in-person and via telehealth. Participate in weekly team IDG meetings.

With your strong sense of commitment, you will advocate for your patients, discussing goals for their care while addressing their hopes and fears. WHERE YOU'LL WORK

Each day is different. You will spend most of your time caring for hospice patients and families wherever they call home, whether that means a private residence or an assisted living/skilled nursing facility.

Once a week, you'll visit your local program office to discuss cases with members of your interdisciplinary team, including social workers, chaplains, and nurses. All of these roles collaborate to provide holistic support for the patients and families we serve.

VITAS physicians must be licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy in the state in which their program operates. In addition to being board-certified or board-eligible in hospice and palliative medicine, internal medicine, family practice, or a related specialty, you should be familiar with the principles of hospice and registered with the DEA.

Hire, train, evaluate and direct the performance of the accounting team. Assist in training night audit team members on accounting job duties.

Prepare and/or review daily, weekly and monthly financial reports in accordance with reporting calendars and ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of these reports.

Responsible for computer systems, file data backup and organization of the Accounting department files.

Verify payroll input including gratuities, commissions, time off and time clock punches.

Maintain control over the record keeping function to include:

          A. Reconciliation of general ledger account balances and cash account statements.

          B. Preparation and review of information to be posted to subsidiary and general ledger.

          C. Coordinating monthly general ledger closing, journal entry preparation and distribution of statements.

          D. Ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with accepted accounting principles and internal policies and procedures.

Prepare fiscal budgets and financial forecasts as determined by management.

Prepare all required tax reports including city, county, state and federal for review by Olshan Properties Finance.

Participate in Executive Committee meetings and weekly staff meetings. Conduct a monthly departmental meeting.

Ensure company SOP's are in place and followed

Assist with internal and external audits.

Review sales tax daily

Account reconciliations (assets and liabilities)

Income journal entries

 

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the General Manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

 

OTHER :

 Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs if the hotel including holidays and weekends.

Informal counseling, both individually and in groups, occurs daily in the Cadet Room.Job Segments: Program Related - In order to provide a quality experience for Boys & Girls Clubs' members, Cadet Room instructors are expected to plan a program which includes:To conduct tournaments or contests daily.To conduct table games and improvised games daily.Low-organized for fun contests daily.File folder activity twice weekly.Simple crafts project weekly.Group goal-setting club meeting weekly.Group goal-setters reward activity weekly.Second group club which meets weekly.Motivational contest daily, as provided in the Program Prescription.Activity sheets utilized daily.Supervised free play.The above program activities should reflect specific age groups and boy/girl/coed opportunities.Non-Program Related - In addition to program duties, Cadet Room instructors are expected to:Maintain attractive, up-to-date bulletin boards and displays, including a display of weekly program and members-of-the-month.Post and be knowledgeable of building emergency procedures.Secure area at all times when Cadet Room is not open.Supervise members in hallways and areas adjacent to Cadet Room.Maintain equipment and make minor repairs.At closing, stack chairs and clean area.Disclaimer: Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
