Position Overview

Responsibilities

In this role, the attorney will work closely with two partners and advise banks and non-bank financial institutions on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters. Alger seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as an Associate Counsel. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Draft and review registration statements, investment advisory and sub-advisory agreements, annual reports, proxy statements, and organizational documents for open-end registered funds
  • Aid in the preparation of Mutual Fund Registration statements, supplements to prospectuses, and related Securities Act and SEC XBRL filings, and UCITS fund prospectuses
  • Responsible for assisting with regulatory filings including, but not limited to, SEC Form ADV, Forms 13F and 13H, and Schedules 13G and 13D
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for amendments, withdrawals, mergers, and dissolutions of fund series

The national average salary range for this role $130-140k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
