Job Duties

Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is composed of Adult and Pediatric Cardiothoracic surgery, Vascular surgery and Adult and Pediatric Cardiology.

The Cardiothoracic Surgery department provides clinical services at 3 sites, Danville, Wilkes Barre, and Scranton with dedicated 24 hour, 7 days a week Cardiac Anesthesia and ICU staff. Presently, the Cardiac and Thoracic surgeons and advanced providers perform the full breadth of Adult Cardiothoracic surgery. Standard and minimally invasive valvular operations and multiple arterial conduits are the standard for cardiac revascularization.

Geisinger has dedicated Heart Failure and Adult Congenital Heart disease programs throughout the system. The growing Mechanical Circulatory Support and Shock programs have energized our LVAD program which has achieved full independent (Name) certification. Our ECMO program is the largest in the region performing V-V and V-A ECMO cannulations throughout the system and recovered at Geisinger Medical Center. A multi-disciplinary Structural Heart Program performs TAVR and Mitra Clip implantation at all sites.

Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) is the country’s first hospital to receive The Joint Commission/American Heart Association (AHA) Comprehensive Heart Attack Center Certification in August 2022.

The successful candidate will be based in Danville, and all surgeons may assist with coverage at other sites throughout the system, as necessary. Broad Cardiothoracic training and experience is required and an interest in minimally invasive, robotic, aortic or mechanical circulatory support is desired.

Overview

Christus Trinity Clinic Anesthesiology is seeking 2 full-time Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists to join its well-established department of over 18 years practicing in Tyler, TX. The ideal candidate will be a team player and enjoy working in a cohesive environment with experienced physicians and CRNAs. Whether you are coming out of training or an experienced physician looking for a change, this position offers the stability of being employed while delivering the autonomy to practice in beautiful East Texas! We are rapidly growing in all major service lines. Inpatient and outpatient surgery, GI endoscopy, Electrophysiology, OB, Pulmonary, Radiology, and surgical Oncology.

Practice and Call

We have 3 call groups: General, Pedi, and Cardiac. The general call frequency is 1:16 (in-house) with shift 2:30p - 07:00a. Post-call day off always. We have a BU (beeper) call and weekend call that is 1:16 as well. Group size is 25+ physicians and 65+ CRNAs. 15% performing cases solo and 85% performing medical direction. No medical supervision. We pride ourselves with being fair with call, daily assignments, and production. No cherry-picking cases. Hardworking, flexible, fair, team-oriented, and positive.

Position Details

We can offer partial FTE positions if interested (0.5, 0.75, or 0.8). Excellent pay and benefits:

  • W-2 salary
  • Wonderful paid vacation
  • Paid malpractice, medical license, DEA, and dues.
  • Benefits include health insurance, STD, LTD, life, dental, eye, retirement, and a generous CME allowance.
  • Relocation and sign-on bonus.

Role Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (BC/BE) Urologist to join our surgical and clinical team.   • Urologic Oncology : Manage the diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate, and testes, often collaborating with oncology and radiation teams.

  • Patient Consultation : Provide thorough consultations, explaining diagnostic results, surgical risks, and postoperative recovery plans to patients and their families.

  • Continuity of Care : Manage long‑term follow‑up for chronic urological conditions and monitor postoperative patient progress.

  • Administrative Compliance : Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all medical and legal standards.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Education : Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

  • Training : Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Urology.

  • Licensure : Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted State Medical License and active DEA registration.

  • Certification : Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Urology (ABU) or equivalent.


Preferred Skills
