Join Mayo Clinic Health System SEMN as a Gastroenterologist with opportunities in general gastroenterology, advanced endoscopy, and sub-specialty interests. The role supports a multi-specialty practice focusing on quality, outcomes, and compassionate care.


Overview


Mayo Clinic Health System Gastroenterology includes locations across Southern Minnesota, Southwest and Northwest Wisconsin, serving approximately 600,000 unique patients annually. The SEMN region includes Austin, MN and Red Wing, MN with opportunities for growth in gastroenterology services, working in a physician-led, integrated team with Mayo Clinic.


Responsibilities



  • Provide general gastroenterology care and advanced endoscopy as part of a multi-specialty practice.

  • Collaborate with surgical, cancer, radiology, and GI colleagues across Mayo Clinic locations to support patient care.

  • Develop areas of sub-specialty interest such as motility, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreas.

  • Participate in clinics, endoscopy suites, and related hospital services with integrated EMR and imaging systems.


$100,000 recruitment/retention supplement available for new hires.


Locations:



  • Austin MN – new Gastroenterology team, primary location; growth to 2 Gastroenterologists and 2 Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistants to meet community demand.

  • Red Wing MN – join an established group serving with 2 Gastroenterologists and 2 NPs/PAs.


Practice features include integrated EMR/imaging, on-site endoscopy, radiology, infusion center, and strong collaborations with Mayo Clinic GI practices.


Qualifications



  • Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology and eligible for Minnesota state license. Visa sponsorship may be considered.


Compensation and Benefits



  • Schedule: Full-Time

  • Hours/Pay Period: 80

  • Exemption Status: Exempt

  • Compensation: The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $202,000 to $663,037, with pay determined by specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, pre-tax savings (HSA/FSAs), retirement, and relocation support for qualifying candidates; malpractice and tail coverage included at no out-of-pocket expense.

The Department of NeuroOncology at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Oncologist or Neuro Oncologist to join our practice. The prospective candidate will be appointed at the Assistant Member level, or higher if warranted . The Department of NeuroOncology is large and multidisciplinary, including Neurosurgery, Neurology and Medical NeuroOncology. We currently have a total faculty count of 12 physicians and 15 advanced practice professionals. The Department supports programs in primary brain tumors, leptomeningeal disease & brain metastases, rare tumors such as NF1 & 2, spinal oncology, skull base tumors, and neurologic complications of cancer. We have a very active clinical trials program and basic/translational laboratory research efforts that are based on federally funded collaborations with multiple basic scientists in the Moffitt Research Institute. We currently have over $37 million in peer reviewed funding and a growing number of philanthropic funds that help to support new, higher risk projects. Moffitt Cancer Center is a dynamic and growing organization and institutional priorities focused on immunocellular therapies and addressing unmet needs in oncology.

Surgical volume focuses primarily on complex and routine pediatric neurosurgical cases. While the opportunity for sub‑specialization exists, the neurosurgeon will care for many general conditions encompassing the breadth of pediatric neurosurgery. The newly recruited neurosurgeon will share pediatric sub‑specialty call on weekdays with one pediatric partner and participate in a combined adult cranial and pediatric call schedule on weekends and holidays. Call is on average 1:2 weekday (Mon‑Thur) call and a generous 1:8 weekend calls, including one holiday per year.

As an academic institution with a strong focus on education, the recruited neurosurgeon would be actively involved in the neurosurgery residency program, resident and fellow teaching, and have resident and APP support for clinical care. Additional responsibilities will include programmatic building and community outreach, research, and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Residency training in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Board eligible/certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Fellowship trained in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery, if applicable.
  • Eligible for medical license in the state of New Hampshire.
  • Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills.
