Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as needed
• Perform Clinical Intake with patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history
• Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam preparation, etc.
• Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards
• Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
• Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing
• Assist with allergy injections, mixing of allergy vials and allergy testing

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience performing medical back office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medications
• Experience performing medical front office tasks including scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, medication refills and referrals
• Graduated from an accredited MA program

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The Communications Director will be responsible for leading the development and execution of earned media and messaging plans, acting as spokesperson for the DPVA when appropriate, maintaining and growing relationships with local, state and national press, and working with Democratic campaigns and organizations to hold Republicans accountable while amplifying Democratic accomplishments. JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the leadership and management of the nursing department. This individual will lead, guide, and manage a team of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants to ensure that nursing services are provided to patients in a competent, professional and compassionate manner. The Director of Nursing will work with the Administrator to determine budget needs for the nursing department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops and maintains nursing service goals and standards of practice.

• Recommends to the administrator resources needed to carry out nursing activities, including but not limited to clinical equipment and supplies and the number and level of nursing personnel to be employed.

• Develops effective relationships with other departments to ensure that the nursing programs are properly planned and maintained to meet the needs of the patient.

• Works with the HR department to ensure the primary source of verification of all licensed and certified nursing employees is current and meets state and federal regulations.
• Ensures an adequate number of trained, competent nursing employees are scheduled twenty-four hours a day.

• Counsels and disciplines nursing employees when indicated and ensures necessary documentation is completed and maintained.
• Evaluates job performance of nursing employees with input from Unit Managers and Assistant Director of Nursing.
• Demonstrates and ensures customer service standards are being met when interacting with employees, patients, visitors, and the general public.
• In collaboration with the Infection Preventionist or designee ensures infection prevention and control program, and employee health policies are implemented.
• Promotes and maintains a positive working relationship with physicians/physician extenders and providers of lab, pharmacy, and therapy services to ensure safe care of patients.
• Completes accident/incident reports, investigates, and does appropriate follow through for allegations of abuse/neglect, family/patient concerns, and associated incidents.
• Reports allegations/incidents to Administrator, Ensures notification is made to all local, state, and federal agencies as required, Ensures notification is made to physician/physician extender and family.
• Ensures nursing representation on all quality assurance committees: Care Planning, Infection Prevention and Control, Risk, Utilization Review, Pharmacy, and Safety.
• Effectively manages budget for the nursing department, medical supplies, and equipment.
• Works to resolve problems that arise, such as errors in judgment, inappropriate or wasteful use of supplies.
• Practices and ensures compliance with the center's Safety Program, including back safety and fire safety.
• Ensures administration of medication according to current standards of nursing practice.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current RN license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

Director, Communications Management

The Director, Communications Management position exists within Fidelity's Workplace Investing Communication and Education (C and E) business unit. This role leads a team of Communication Managers that are responsible for client consulting, design and execution of Health and Welfare benefits communication and education efforts for plan sponsors. The Team

Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and Department Chair School of Nursing

VCU School of Nursing invites candidates to apply to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and Department Chair position. This position is charged with administrative leadership and oversight of the pre-licensure and undergraduate academic programs and the Department of Family and Child Health Nursing. The assignment is based on the candidate's academic leadership experiences. This position ensures academic excellence and curriculum consistent with the mission and goals of VCU SON and that programs are reflective of national trends, local and regional needs, and professional standards. Responsibilities include oversight of faculty orientation, faculty development and mentoring efforts, development of annual faculty work plans and teaching assignments, and evaluation of full-time and adjunct faculty for whom they supervise. This position provides input regarding the hiring priorities of full-time faculty and has the authorization to hire adjunct faculty.
