Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit health care provider in South Carolina, is seeking a BC/BE General Pediatrician to provide comprehensive pediatric care within a Pediatric Gastroenterology (PGI) practice. This role includes delivering both general pediatric and GI-focused care while working collaboratively with pediatric gastroenterologists and advanced practice clinicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of common and complex gastrointestinal conditions in children. The position also includes maintaining dedicated time in the general pediatric resident clinic.

Details:

  • Evaluates and manages common pediatric GI conditions with progressive exposure to more complex disorders.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, develops evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with Pediatric GI physicians, and contributes to clinic operations and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Delivers longitudinal care with appropriate follow-up and coordination across subspecialists, primary care, and allied health professionals.
  • Participates in inpatient and afterhours coverage, including weekend and "mommy call" rotations, with GI attending support for clinical guidance.
  • As School of Medicine faculty, will teach residents, medical students, and advanced practice clinicians.
