We’re hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.   

  Responsibilities:  

  • EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.

We are looking for a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team! This position will be seated 100% on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia.

Travel: Negligible Clearance:

An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

Noted experience below in cybersecurity requirements development, cyber threat analysis, cyber engineering, cyber systems architecture development or cybersecurity policy development experience:

  • Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
  • Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD , or successor. If performing as a Privileged User (Individuals who have access to system control, monitoring, or administration functions (e.g., system administrator, IAO/ISSO, system programmers, etc.)) a final adjudicated T-5/T-R with an IT level-1 designation in JPAS must be achieved and maintained. Privileged users must also complete Operating System (OS)/Computer Environment (CE) training for each version within six (6) months of start date. Training is the responsibility of the contracting company. Training must include an assessment, not necessarily vendor certification, with the contractor providing proof.
  • Possess an understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies for both Land Based and afloat/tactical systems, and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance and procedures for combat systems.
  • Conduct cybersecurity related research, analysis and coordination activities in support of DOD cyber assurance and policy efforts are multiple classification levels.
  • Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.
  • Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and information technology policy gaps for combat systems.
  • Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation of combat systems.
  • Develop cybersecurity risk assessment analysis and risk mitigation plans for combat systems.
  • Develop documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, system engineering, risk assessment and mitigation for combat systems.
  • Develop or use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity is preferred Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $195,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.

In this role, you’ll craft RMF A&A packages, execute continuous monitoring tasks, and conduct system testing to secure cutting-edge systems. Be part of a team that values innovation, growth, and collaboration.

Travel: Negligible Clearance:

An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:
  • Two (2) years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or five (5) years general security engineering experience.
  • Two (2) of the five (5) years of engineering experience on Combat Weapons Systems experience in Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt, or other Navy afloat tactical combat systems. Certified as IAT Level II or Level III per DoD , or successor when performing as an ISSO or ISSE.
  • Understanding of computer security, military system specifications, DoD Cybersecurity policies for both Land Based and afloat/tactical systems, and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
Responsibilities:
  • Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
  • Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
  • Document a system from a Cybersecurity perspective using Microsoft Office including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Visio and other appropriate tools.
  • Derive, document and/or identify system CONOPS for Mission Assurance Categorization per DoDI 8500.2.
  • Research and recommend logical and physical solutions that prevent, detect and correct the system to be certified and accredited.
  • Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and NSA recommendations.
  • Identify disagreements between as built specifications, security requirements and DoD security policies and recommend approaches to bring the system into compliance.
  • Author and revise system requirements and specifications to meet DoD security policies.
  • Perform vulnerability tests using manual techniques, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and other similar and appropriate IA and security tools.
  • Plan, execute and document risk assessments against known vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and perform security analysis of connectivity relationships between the subject US Naval warfare system and the equipment to which it interfaces, both physically and virtually.
  • Lead and perform as ISSO to be focal point for all security matters related to specific sets of information systems.
  • Define an Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Plan.
  • Plan, execute and document results of security tests.
  • Assist with developing cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, guidance and procedures for combat systems.
  • Conduct cybersecurity related research, analysis and coordination activities in support of DOD cyber assurance and policy efforts at multiple classification levels.
  • Participate in working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.
  • Assist with analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and information technology policy gaps for combat systems.
  • Assist with cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation of combat systems.
  • Assist with developing cybersecurity risk assessment analysis and risk mitigation plans for combat systems.
  • Assist with developing documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, system engineering, risk assessment and mitigation for combat systems.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • CASP, Security +, or CISSP Certifications
Education: A bachelors degree in Cybersecurity is preferred. Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $156,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.

Assist Your Members Transitioning from Active Duty with DOD SkillBridge

By allowing SkillBridge participation with reputable employers, commanders can help ease the military-to-civilian transition period for their members.

Permissive Duty for Service Members with Industry Partners

Service members can receive up to 180 days of permissive duty, with written authorization from their chain of command, to focus exclusively on training with approved industry partners. These industry partners provide practical training and valuable work experience, as well as assess the service member's potential for future employment.

Clearance:

Active security clearance is required.

Requirements:
  • Currently serving as an Active Duty military service member and eligible for the SkillBridge program.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and apply military experiences to a civilian career path in the fields of Technology and Innovation, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, and Cybersecurity 
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities during the internship will be unique to the candidate based on their experience and career goals; however, the following can be expected of each SkillBridge intern.

  • Assist with daily operations and support cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the completion of projects, including research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Participate in team meetings, offering input and suggestions based on your background and expertise.
  • Gain experience in specific technologies, tools, or processes relevant to the role.
  • Build and enhance professional skills in areas such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving.
Preferred Skills and Experience:

STEM degree is preferred but not required.

The SkillBridge program is a capstone training experience that allows service members to gain civilian work experience during the last 180 days of their service.
