CDL A Details 

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am Start time, 8-10 hours per day 

  • Pay:  CDL A $28 Per Hour + OT after 40 hours, $1,200 - $1,300 Estimated weekly pay

  • Route Type: Local home daily, 250 mile radius

  • Freight / Load Type: Paper towels, trash cans, office supplies & light industrial products

  • Equipment: Day cab hauling dry van trailer, Automatic or manual transmissions (whichever preferred), Forward & Driver facing cameras.

  • Handling: Mostly no touch but may have to unload with a pallet jack sometimes

Position Purpose:
As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and turn around and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for driving a tandem trailer, tractor trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes for the purpose of transporting empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations. Turns around and delivers full trailers with various products to domicile/shuttle yard locations in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately reports all safety hazards.
  • Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Ensures all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch.
  • Drives and delivers trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
  • Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines. 
  • Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
  • Ensures all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
  • Collects and secures damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer to bring back to driver check-in at base facility and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
  • Completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
• 12 months commercial driving experience
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test

WORKING CONDITIONS


• Massage Therapists must interact with guests throughout their shift, therefore communication skills are required specifically speaking and listening. Additionally, significant standing is required for extended periods of time (up to 7-8 hours), while providing massage therapy to guests.

• Massage therapists use touch to treat clients’ injuries and to promote the clients’ general wellness. They use their hands, fingers, forearms, elbows, and sometimes feet to knead muscles and soft tissues of the body.

• Additionally, this position requires bending, lifting, stooping, squatting, reaching, overhead lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.

  • Strong base pay with real upside. Earn up to $0.615 CPM (based on location), with annual earnings reaching up to $95,000 depending on miles and performance.
  • Additional bonuses that reward extra miles. Earn up to $0.06 CPM bonus after 2,350 miles per week, plus additional pay for specialized work such as chaining, port pay, & container swap pay where applicable.
  • Home weekly-with flexibility. Run 6-8 days out, reset with 34 hours at home, or stay out longer if you want to push earnings higher.
  • Regional lanes - no coasts. Operate within a defined regional footprint: West to Denver, East to Indianapolis, Southeast to Atlanta, South to Dallas. No coast-to-coast runs.
