Overview

Delaplex is currently seeking a Sr Solution Architect to join our Consulting Services team, specific to the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Senior Solution Architect provides leadership and direction to the on‑site implementation team on the design and execution of the solution and definition of business process workflows that accompany the solution. This role aims to take ownership of a solution within an implementation project and architect software solutions that solve the customer’s business problem, while generating maximum value for the customer.

Scope

Core responsibilities to include Designing, Developing, Unit testing, and Validation of new modifications and provide support to any production issues related to modifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Leveraged as the Blue Yonder/JDA/RedPrairie WMS solution expert for transformational projects/programs
  • Strong domain knowledge in BY/JDA/RedPrairie WMS solution to understand how the Blue Yonder solutions can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes
  • Strong domain knowledge in BY/JDA/RedPrairie Discrete WMS solution to construct an overall architecture for current and future customer business needs
  • Key contributor to the Change Management efforts for global or regional program implementations
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences
  • Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology
  • Assists Project Manager(s) in planning efforts
  • Able to ask appropriate questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints
  • Can demonstrate and facilitate integration discussions of product functionality and product architecture (i.e. Show data and process flow from one solution to another)
  • Lead the project team to design and develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports, and screens to ensure smooth integration between technical and functional business requirements
  • Lead the project team in preparing Product Requirement Specifications, test plan for modifications
  • Interact closely with Development services in modification development, quality delivery, and organizing demonstrations with customers on modifications.
  • Creates and modifies procedural and system documentation throughout the project
  • Supports the development and execution of test scripts to ensure Blue Yonder consistently meets the customer's business objectives
  • Serves as a technical liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Project Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8 – 11 years of corporate experience
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Expertise in technical configuration of WMS product, Solution Integration, Quality Assurance, System Testing, PLSQL, SQL Server, and Performance Tuning.
  • Hands‑on Experience on Technical configuration of WMS product (preferably BY/JDA/RedPrairie WMS), Jasper reports, Nice labels, Pagebuilder and MOCA.
  • Knowledge on interfaces between WMS and ERP/Host, TMS, WLM, T&T, Parcel, 3rd party system that integrates with WMS.
  • Knowledge on integration between WMS and Voice / Material Handling / ASRS systems
  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent computer skills with in‑depth knowledge of operating systems, client/server technology, ERP systems, Integration, and Middleware technologies, and applications

Essential Job Function

  • A strong systems engineering background with management of System of Systems Interface Control Documents that include both hardware and software.
  • Broad experience with ground systems, Telemetry, Tracking, and Command (TT&C), Command and Control, Data transport layer, Space Systems in multiple orbits.
  • Knowledge in architecting and guiding development of a federated service oriented architecture on a private platform; guiding creation and management of cloud application development and operations resources including Virtual Private Connections and Virtual Machines IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS (compute, storage network, security, administration, automation, application services, databases) in either native cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge in supporting maturation of DevSecOps pipelines; facilitating development of infrastructure as code and supporting deployments.
  • Knowledge interfacing with the cyber and DoD intelligence community.
  • Significant technical background and experience in space-related large scale ground infrastructures.
  • Experience providing modeling and simulation support.
  • Engineering and technical expertise for modeling, simulation, and analysis support for space defense efforts (Assessment of National Space Control Capabilities (AN S C C), Space Protection Program (SPP), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), National-level and Joint-level studies and analysis).
  • Executive Agent for Space Systems (EASS) expertise in the following areas: detailed working knowledge of modeling, simulation, and study activities.
  • Expertise in performing and implementing National-level studies.
  • Expertise and support in leading analysis of alternative and concept of operation type studies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI clearance/access or TS/SCI Eligible
  • Current CI polygraph or willingness to take one
  • Earned Masters degree in a system architecture-related discipline, e.g., Systems Engineering, System Development, Project Management, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Physics
  • At least 15 years of relevant system analysis experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Specific direct experience performing system architecture tasks in the U.S. Air Force and/or the U.S. Space Force space system design, acquisition, and development environments
  • Specific direct knowledge and experience with system architecture-related activity associated with Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), Space Control, satellite design, launch operations and space system operations

As the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Lead, you’ll lead the strategy, automation, and reliability of AWS-based infrastructure for a rapidly growing SaaS/eCommerce platform. You’re a seasoned cloud and DevOps professional with:

  • 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps, including 2+ years in leadership

  • Strong experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
  • Proven track record building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 6+ years in BI, analytics, or data warehousing roles working with business stakeholders in enterprise environments.

  • Strong experience with Tableau (or a comparable enterprise BI tool), including calculations, extracts, and dashboard design and optimization.

  • Lead solution feasibility assessments and provide architectural decisions aligned with business needs.

Technical Leadership & Execution

  • Guide and mentor the technical team in design, coding, integration, configuration, deployment, and best practices.
  • Own and drive resolution of complex technical issues, troubleshooting, RCA, and performance improvements in Opcenter MES and MOM Connect.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables such as design documents, configuration models, and integration specifications.

Workshops, Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

  • Conduct and participate in technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architecture review boards with business SMEs, IT stakeholders, and plant leadership.
  • Contribute to governance models, DevOps improvements, and cross functional technical alignment

Implementation & Support

  • Oversee installation, configuration, deployment, and upgrades of Opcenter MES across global sites.
  • Provide technical guidance for MSSQL database aspects—tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience

Opcenter Expertise

  • Proven hands on experience in Siemens Opcenter MES (Especially Medical Devices).
  • Strong capability in:
  • Opcenter Designer, Portal Studio
  • Opcenter MOM Connect and MOM modules
  • Opcenter data structure and online data store
  • CAMSTAR modeling & interoperability (CIO/MIO) for equipment & ERP integrations

Technical Skills

  • Deep troubleshooting proficiency across Opcenter application and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • MSSQL / SQL Server administration and query optimization (DBA level exposure).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years overall experience, with 3+ years specifically in Siemens Opcenter architecture roles.
  • Proven track record of delivering global MES programs with reusable, standardized architectural components.
