Talent Operations Manager (Spanish Bilingual Required)
Blue Heron Capital
Richardson, TX

Talent Operations Manager

As a Talent Operations Manager for our DFW market, you'll own the end-to-end talent acquisition and placement process for Buildforce electricians in the metro. This is an in-market, "run your own branch" role: you'll partner closely with our in-market Account Executive and Senior Talent Operations Manager to build a high-quality pool of electricians and place candidates on commercial construction projects. This is a full-cycle recruiting position that requires the ability to context-switch in a dynamic environment and use modern tools to run an efficient recruiting process. You must live in the Dallas area. This is an in-person, hybrid role it is not a remote position.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Sourcing: Using job boards, referrals, and other channels to source high-quality electricians for commercial construction job sites

  • Interviewing: Conduct quality interviews effectively and always on time. Coach new electricians on the Buildforce process and expectations. Pay negotiation skills are critical during the interview process.

  • Placements: Work as a team to achieve monthly placement goals with quality and retention in mind. Provide a "white-glove" experience for priority placements for high-profile and new customers.

  • Operational Expertise: Many commercial construction job sites require operationally complex and administrative hurdles. Need to have strong organizational skills to manage this operational complexity (maintaining records and documentation).

  • Technical Support: Complete a Buildforce introduction and teach electrician prospects how to use the Buildforce App and complete their "profile".

  • Customer Support and Field Management: Providing delightful customer experiences through inbound emails, text messages, chats, and phone calls. Listen to concerns, resolve problems, and offer the best recommendations to electricians utilizing the Buildforce App.

  • Relationship-Building: Apply exceptional follow-up and time management skills to cultivate relationships with electricians.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to ensure electricians are equipped with technical and functional knowledge about our Buildforce platforms. This requires close collaboration with our Sales, Support, and Product teams.

  • Strategic Projects: We are constantly improving the Talent Operations team at Buildforce, and you will work on projects that help our team "raise the bar"

  • Market Ownership: Act as the operator of the DFW market partner with the in-market Account Executive to convert demand into placements, and use judgment to weigh proactive vs. reactive recruiting approaches as the market matures.

Hard Skills Required

  • High-velocity recruiting experience this is critical. Ideally from an environment with 200+ touches/week or 20+ interviews/week.

  • Bilingual Spanish & English required.

  • Staffing, construction, or blue-collar industry experience strongly preferred. Light industrial, construction, and blue-collar staffing backgrounds are the best fit.

  • Small-business or early-stage company experience you're comfortable without a lot of red tape or process handed to you.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Tech-savvy comfortable troubleshooting and picking up new tools quickly.

Soft Skills Required

  • Empathy & relationship-building you put yourself in the other person's shoes.

  • Tenacity & self-motivation an "I've got it" mentality.

  • Ownership you're comfortable running your market like your own branch.

  • Resiliency & adaptability you thrive with ambiguity, not despite it.

  • Team player you lean on Sales and Ops rather than going it alone.

  • Willingness to ask questions and learn.

What Tends to Work Well

  • 2+ years or more in a single role is a good sign enough time to work through real adversity and challenges.

  • Candidates who've done full-cycle, high-volume recruiting (not just sourcing or just interviewing).

What Tends Not to Work Well

  • Backgrounds that are primarily non-recruiting and in unrelated industries (e.g., hospitality/retail, logistics/manufacturing, property management, education, medical).

  • A pattern of short (sub-1-year) stints across multiple employers.

  • A strong preference for fully remote work this is an in-person, in-market role.

Buildforce's Benefits & Perks:

  • Hybrid (Working from Buildforce's Richardson office in DFW 3-4 days a week)

  • Time Off & Holidays

  • Parental Leave Policy

  • Healthcare - Medical, Dental & Vision

  • 401(k) with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your salary.

Job Description

Job Description

Bartender – Growing Neighborhood Bar

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable bartender to join our growing bar. Business is currently a little slower than at an established high-volume venue, but we’re building momentum and looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

The right person will understand that quieter shifts are an opportunity to connect with guests, keep the bar in excellent condition, help promote upcoming events, and contribute ideas—not simply wait for customers to arrive.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service
  • Prepare beer, wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic beverages accurately
  • Learn our drink menu, specials, promotions, and upcoming events
  • Check identification and serve alcohol responsibly
  • Operate the POS system and handle cash and card payments accurately
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar
  • Complete opening, shift-change, and closing duties
  • Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low
  • Build relationships with regulars and create a welcoming atmosphere for new guests
  • Help generate business by discussing events, specials, leagues, and promotions with customers
  • Stay productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, organizing, and preparing for busier shifts
  • Work cooperatively with management and other team members
  • Follow all health, safety, and alcohol-service requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous bartending or customer-service experience preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work without constant supervision
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help the business grow
  • Comfortable working both slower and busier shifts
  • Able to multitask and remain professional under pressure
  • Available for evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Must meet all legal age and certification requirements for serving alcohol
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 30–50 pounds

What We Offer

  • A relaxed, welcoming work environment
  • The opportunity to grow with an expanding local business
  • Input on drinks, promotions, events, and ways to improve the guest experience
  • Employee discounts and other benefits as applicable
  • Hourly pay plus tips

We want someone who sees the potential in helping build a great neighborhood bar. If you enjoy meeting people, creating a fun atmosphere, and being part of a business as it grows, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Apply company labor standards, material pricing, margin targets, and approval rules; route final pricing and unusual risk for management approval.
  • Maintain an organized estimate record and handoff package so operations can understand what was sold, how it was priced, and what is required to deliver it.
  • Review completed work and estimate results to improve takeoffs, labor assumptions, product selection, and future bids.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of low voltage estimating, system design support, project management, or substantial field experience with demonstrated responsibility for producing estimates.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, technology, and low voltage plans and specifications, including addenda and bid instructions.
  • Working knowledge of multiple low voltage systems and the dependencies needed to make an installation functional and buildable.
  • Experience with takeoffs, bills of material, vendor pricing, labor estimates, and written proposal scopes.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, PDF markup or takeoff tools, bid portals, and a CRM or estimating platform; ability to learn MTS workflows in Salesforce.
  • Strong attention to detail, deadline management, written communication, and judgment about when technical or commercial approval is needed.
  • Preferred: experience with commercial hospitality, multifamily, or similar construction projects; manufacturer training or relevant low voltage certifications.
Physical Requirements
  • Capable of climbing stairs and walking through commercial properties during occasional site visits and job walkthroughs.
  • Able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods when handling administrative tasks.
